Physics is the study of the fundamental forces and particles that make up the universe, as well as the interactions between them. It seeks to understand everything from the smallest particles at the atomic and subatomic levels to the vast structures of the cosmos. By developing theories and models, physics explains natural phenomena and helps predict future events in various fields, from technology to cosmology. The study of physics can be broadly divided into several specialized branches, each of which focuses on different aspects of the physical world. Physics helps us understand the laws of nature behind the world around us, like the red color of a sunset or the light from the early universe. The college’s Physics Department was established in 2000. The department offers undergraduate programs like B.Sc. in Physics The bachelor’s course in Physics provides a deep understanding of physics topics and connects them with electronics, math, and chemistry. The department’s mission is to fully develop students’ potential so they can become creative and knowledgeable leaders in various professions. It aims to foster academic integrity, responsibility, and a commitment to helping society, especially the poor and underprivileged. The department focuses on teaching students moral values and leadership skills, encouraging them to work for the betterment of society. The department has a dedicated and highly qualified faculty, passionate about both teaching and research. The professors are actively involved in research and have expertise in areas ranging from nanotechnology to the String theory. Faculty members have worked at top international research institutions and continue collaborating with them. Their main goal is to encourage logical thinking and scientific reasoning in students.
Vision of the Physics Department of College is to:
Mission of the Physics Department of College is to:
The bachelor’s course in Physics offers a comprehensive understanding of physics, while also integrating concepts from other fields of science. To support students' learning and address their queries, the department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories for physics, electronics, and computer-based experiments. Our faculty members are highly qualified, experienced, and deeply committed to their students' success. Their primary goal is to foster logical thinking and scientific reasoning, helping students develop a strong foundation in both theory and practical applications.
Physics department has a well equipped lab with the apparatus giving students the insights on experiments related to mechanical properties of matter, electronics and optics.
