About Chemistry Department

The Department of Chemistry is one of the most prestigious departments of the college. It caters to a large number of students of other science disciplines as well. The CBCS syllabus exposes students to diverse fields such as Medicinal Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Photo-Chemistry and Organic Synthesis etc. With specialized papers under Skill Enhancement Course and Discipline Specific Elective students get introduced to Medicinal Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and others, which can help them decide their field of interest in the future. The Three (3) chemistry and Two (2) instrumentation labs allow the students to have hands-on practical training. The dedicated faculty of the department believes in interactive relationships with the students.
